The founding of establishment of this club was inspired by foreign countries.

There are made self-help groups. They are led by stutterers. The ELSA (The European League Stuttering Association) is an organization which shelters other clubs. This organization also arranges proffesional congresses and seminars. The clubs meet in these congreses. PhDr. Petr Staníček participated in these seminars. His attendance was arranged with The Soukromá klinika Logo s.r.o.

The Klub balbutiků was founded on 1 st September 2004. This club is aimed at people from The Czech republic with disturbance of speaking – stuttering.

The function of the club is provided by the therapist PhDr. Petr Staníček and stutterers Zdeněk Hudeček and Michal Šmídek.

You can become a member of this club by filling in an entry form of The Občanské sdružení Logo. If you want to do it, write “Klub balbutiků” on the entry form or an envelope. A payment for a year is 200 Czech crowns. If you pay this sum, you will get a periodical The Papoušek (it is a quarterly). The next advantage is just paying 30 crowns as a payment for doing exercises in a team.
